Boon Siew Honda has announced the latest revival for its premium cub model to date, the Honda Wave 125i. The Honda Wave series has always been fan favorite due to its utilitarian approach which stand as its forte.
The all new Wave 125i received a major updates include a fresher design outlook which feature a bolder design language in contrast to its predecessor with the addition of full body stripe and dual tone body colour for a more elegance appearance. It is the first in the Wave series to be equipped with LED headlight. Aside from its visual appeals, the LED headlight will also assist the rider in providing a greater visibility as well as having a longer life span.
“The Honda Wave 125i has always been something special especially toward the most discerning riders who wish to be acquainted with a motorcycle which does not only offer the highest level of reliability but also provide its owner with the capability of long distance riding,” Boon Siew Honda Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Keiichi Yasuda stated in an interview. He later add that the demand for a more refine cub model has been expanding, “The market for a prime cub model has been progressing as consumer continue to seek a motorcycle which enable them to conduct long distance daily commute with ease”.
The all new Wave 125i continues to be powered Honda’s ever reliable 125cc engine with an improved PGM-FI fuel system which deliver a responsive acceleration while burning less fuel in the process. Riders can observe their fuel intake through the new amber meter design which emphases on a cleaner information visual delivery.
A major noticeable feature for the Wave series has always been it under seats storage compartment. The all new Wave 125i features an 18 liters U-Box which is capable to store a full sized helmet. In keeping with the theme of rider convenience, the storage area can be unlocked using the same key slot for the ignition. The benefit for large under seats storage goes beyond better storage compartment as it will provider rider with a larger seat. Such comfort would be most welcome by rider who wish to benefit from the 5.4 liter fuel tank that is able to achieve an estimated 300km range distance.
The all new Wave 125i is available in two variances; single front disc brake and double disc brake sporting three colour options namely Pearl Magellanic Black with Candy Scintillate Red, Pearl Magellanic Black with Pearl Nightfall Blue and Force Silver Metallic.
